This year the Distillerie Fratelli Branca celebrates the 170th anniversary. For this special occasion the famous distillery based in Milan has decided to change look and to make a work of street art out of the old smokestack, which watches the city from the Branca headquarter in Via Resegone. The street art project carried out in collaboration with the artists Orticanoodles and Futuro Luce has changed the city's skyline.

The duo, which take their name from the Ortica district, have represented the Fernet Branca old secret recipe. The 27 different herbes and roots are depicted through a stunning maze of colours, which climbes up to the top. The connection with the city of Milan has become stronger than ever and the piece of art has been regognised as a new symbol of Milan.

With its 55 metres of shapes and colours the new Branca smokestack is one of the tallest graffiti in Europe. This wonderful piece of street-art shines bright from far away also during the night, thanks to the wise LED lighting system finely designed by Futuro Luce. Light and Technology merge into a single work of art, which reflects traditional values, the knowledge and the contemporary art style typical of Milan.

On December 2 took place the opening ceremony with a light show following the beat of music.
